For three years now, we worked on an amazing movie directed by Khalil Joreige and Joana Hadjithomas about a woman named Maia that receives on Christmas Eve an unexpected delivery : notebooks, tapes, and photos Maia sent to her best friend from 1980’s Beirut, lot of memories from the lebanese war. The film competes for the Berlinale selection in 2021.
We did title sequences on the movie, but also every graphic VFX sequences we can see during the film : when Maia’s daughter Alex discovered the notebooks and tapes, there were a lot of visual effects with these photos, some little graphic exercises.
We are very proud of this project and the film is great, really moving.
Main Title sequence
The title sequences are a mix of French and Arabic types, which switch with a glitch effect to display the Arabic translation of the credits. The SMS HUDs, the photo gallery and every visual effect related to Alex’ phone were also designed by us.
